Fundamentally, Reiki level 2 introduces you to what is known as Reiki symbols. Each symbol has different uses, all allowing you to connect more deeply to the energy within you as well as that of the universe. This means that you can send energy to someone across the other end of the globe, or send it a younger version of you. While all these are additions to your Reiki practice, the guiding principles still remain the same: you will be harnessing the energies of the universe and guide it to balance out the wheels of energies or the chakras of the person, event, or object that you will be sending energy to.

In every sense, reiki level 2 will allow for healing to transcend across space and time. Thanks to the symbols that this level will introduce, it will help your healing (and that of others you give Reiki to) to be more holistic and potent.

What is Reiki Level 2

Reiki level 1 focuses on your healing more than anything else, whereas Reiki level 2 focuses on you offering to be a channel of energy for others. Here, you will be given access to an even more open channel for the universe’s energy, making room for a more potent healing experience. At our practice in Tobyhanna, PA, you will be given another attunement as well as be introduced to Reiki symbols. One of these symbols includes being able to send healing energies to individuals or events or objects that are not immediately within reach.

With these symbols, you’ll be able to heal the trauma from a past event. Or you could send loving and healing energy to someone who is hospitalized at the other end of the globe. You should draw these symbols while reciting the name of the symbol 3 times. After this, you can go ahead and proceed as usual: by cupping your hands and allowing the energy of the universe to pass through you and into the other person.

What Can Reiki Level 2 Do

Prepare For Reiki Level 2 at Reiki Tobyhanna

In terms of requirements, this will vary from one Reiki Master to another. With that said, there are also similarities as to the preparation required from you to advance to this level.

1. You should have already completed your Reiki level 1

Naturally, to advance to the next level, you should have completed the previous one. In this case, to take Reiki level 2, you should have completed Reiki level 1.

2. You should have completed your 21-day detox

After your Reiki attunement, it is strongly encouraged for students to go on a Reiki detox. This means eating mindfully, exercising your body, and practicing Reiki daily. All this is to help you ease into the more potent effects that Reiki level 2 will give you.

With these said, as long as you have been substantially practicing self-Reiki and living more mindfully, all that is standing between you and the next Reiki level is a registration for a class.

What is Reiki Level 2 Attunement

What happens in Reiki level 2 is mostly similar to what happens in the first, except for the introduction of symbols. In the duration of the course, you will be introduced to the sacred symbols that you can use while practicing Reiki. After this, you will be explained how distance healing works and how you can use Reiki symbols in your daily life. At the end of it all, you will be attuned.

In your level 2 attunement, you will be further opened up to the energies of the universe. This means that mana will flow more easily through you. From the source, through you, and to the person that you will be giving Reiki to–the path will be guided with the sacred symbols of Reiki so that you can be a better channel.

What to Expect Reiki level 2

During the attunement and teaching of principles, you will be with a Reiki Master who will guide you through the symbols and attune you. Typical classes or teachings will last from 4 hours to 8 hours, sometimes even more. During this time, you will be provided a manual as well as other learning materials that will include an illustration of the Reiki symbols that you will be using in your practice.
